Our Mission

At Common Roots, our mission is simple: to replace four walls with nature's canopy. In our intimate backyard setting, we honor the natural curiosity of 3–5 year olds, fostering a deep-rooted connection to nature through our Glastonbury nature school and promoting a confident sense of self. We believe that by slowing down and following the rhythm of the seasons, we help children grow wild, wise, and resilient through nature-based education.

The Common Roots Way:

Small & Nurturing: An intimate, small-group setting in a private Glastonbury backyard for a safe, family-like feel.

Wildly Screen-Free: Trading tablets for pinecones and desks for dirt to encourage deep, sensory-rich outdoor play for kids.

Rooted in Community: Utilizing our local landscape to teach children how to love and care for their neighborhood.
